WHAT WILL TOMORROW BRING?
Tomorrow means different things to many people and some
are anxious about it. Others, with a knowledge of God's ways have the comfort that God will fulfil His purpose
of peace on earth.
Many people try to delve into the future by consulting fortune tellers, palm reading, tarot cards etc., but the
Bible makes it plain that these practices are disapproved of by God.
"Let no-one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practises divination or
sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist, or consults
the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord your God." (Deuterononmy Ch 18 vv1-12: NIV)
We believe that the Bible alone reveals the future. We believe in the things God has promised in his word, that
all who learn of His ways can have the hope of being part of his kingdom on earth for ever. This is the real 'Tomorrow's
World'!
In looking into the future Jesus spoke very graphically of the times that we now live in.
"There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at
the roaring and tossing of the sea. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for
the heavenly bodies will be shaken." (Luke Ch 21 v25: NIV)
This is how it is today. Those who have believed in the Kingdom on earth and the return of Jesus as King, have
been waiting for this time, for we read:-
"At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things
begin to take place, stand up, and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near."
We believe it is near. It could be tomorrow.
